The Giorgio Pardi Foundation (formerly, Lang-Pardi Foundation) President’s Presenter’s Award
The Giorgio Pardi Foundation (FGP) President’s Presenter’s Award will recognize the three best abstracts (either poster or oral presentations) in the field of fetal medicine and placental function presented by a senior researcher and by two junior researchers still in training. A fourth award will be recognized for the best abstract (either poster or oral presentation) related to studies of the fetal brain. The scope of the awards is to recognize their effort and to support their further research in this field. The four awards have been generously funded by the Giorgio Pardi Foundation. A committee will select the four presentations dedicated to this topic. Each awardee will receive a plaque and a check. The senior researcher will receive a check in the amount of $5,500.00; the two junior researchers will receive a check in the amount of $3,000.00 each. The award for the study of the fetal brain will receive a check in the amount of $2,000.00 and an invitation to present the awarded research at the international FGP-sponsored Congress “The Fetal Brain: A Symposium in Memory of Giorgio Pardi” which will take place in Milan, Italy on April 30th, 2010. In addition, Giorgio Pardi Foundation will award 5 worthy investigators with a Pardi Travel Award in the amount of $1,000.00 each to assist in travel to the 2010 SGI Annual Meeting.
Meeting Registration: To register for the 2010 meeting in Orlando, you will need to login to take the form. If you are a Regular Member, In Training Member or Emeritus member, you will need to use your SGI user name and password to login. If you have forgotten your user name or password, please contact the SGI office.
Members: Please do not let anyone use your SGI user name and password to register for the meeting. If you do, it will cause your SGI user profile information to change and your name will not appear correctly in the 2010 meeting abstract book.
If you are a Non Member or In Training Non Member, you can create a user name and password to login and register for the meeting. Anyone registering as In Training is required to send a signed letter of support (on official letterhead) to the SGI office before the registration deadline. If your letter of support is not received before the deadline date, you will be required to bring a signed letter of support (on official letterhead) to the registration desk at the SGI meeting and you will be charged the on site In Training Non Member registration fee.
All meeting attendees are required to wear a badge to all SGI sessions including poster sessions. Attendees are also required to wear a badge to setup and dismantle posters. If you require assistance during poster setup, the person assisting you must wear a badge to enter the poster session hall.
Badge Policy: All guests and spouses are required to wear a badge to attend all SGI sessions including poster sessions. Attendees will be denied access to the poster hall without a badge.
We do not offer one day only or a spouse/ guest rate.
If your badge is lost or left behind in your hotel room, you will not be able to enter any of the sessions including the poster session. You can retrieve your badge from your hotel or you can pay $150.00 per badge for a replacement.
SGI Cancellation and Refund Policy: Registration cancellation must be in writing to the SGI administrative office in Washington, DC. Registration fees will be refunded, less a $150.00 administrative fee if the request is made in writing prior to the deadline date on the registration form in that given year. No Refunds will be made on registration cancellations after the deadline date on the registration form in that given year.
Registration payments made by credit card, will be refunded within 48 hours of the written request. Registration payments made by personal check or company check will be made after the annual meeting.
