In Training Member Committee

in-training member committee

Purpose

The primary initiative of the In Training Member Committee (ITMC) is to establish SRI as hosts for trainees throughout the Annual Meeting and beyond. The ITMC will strive to provide resources related to presenting your science, Society networking opportunities, grant opportunities and more. The committee is responsible for Annual Meeting programming such as Connection Corners and makes a year- round effort to provide support and connect trainees with fellow trainees in order to build a strong network early on in their career. The ITMC also works with other committees such as the Career Development committee, Grants committee, Membership and Nominations committee, and more to support trainees in other initiatives throughout SRI.

ITMs should be present on the following committees: DEI, 365, Career Development and others (as needed). The ITMC is also encouraged to meet in-person during the Annual Meeting, as coordinators of the Connection Corners event.
