Where We Are
Policy and Procedures: Delinquent membership dues payment (010710) Inasmuch as there are regular notifications mailed to the members regarding the expiry of their annual membership and the need to renew, and whereas specific deadlines are proscribed for membership renewal, the following represents the policy regarding delinquent dues. When notification of the need to renew membership has been made as well as at least two timely reminders have been made after the expiry date for renewal, a member will be deemed to be in default. The period of default will begin on the day after the dues were payable and continue for no more than twelve (12) months during which time the member has the option of fulfilling the obligation to pay. Should this not transpire, the member will be notified both by mail and E mail to the address on file that their membership and all benefits of membership have expired including access to the SGI website and receipt of the Journal Reproductive Sciences. Attendance at Annual meetings or any other forum sponsored by the SGI will require the payment of NON member fees. After the period of grace, the suspended member may reapply for full membership by paying all outstanding dues and will also return to receiving the full benefits of SGI membership. This policy cannot be waived, save and except under circumstances outlined in a written appeal from the delinquent member to the SGI President and subsequently approved by unanimous vote of the SGI Council. Here in lies the sole policy governing delinquency in dues payment. Signed: this day of 3/8/2010
