About SRI Foundation
Purpose
Your contribution to the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) Foundation will be used to support initiatives relevant to the mission of SRI and will help advance the career development and education of future generations of SRI members.
SRI is the world’s leading organization for reproductive medicine and women’s health research with members from 35 countries. SRI awards on average each year, close to $200,000 in Research Grants and Travel Awards. These especially benefit SRI’s In Training and Early Career Investigator members, and we hope to continue this outpouring of support to our members.
The SRI Foundation aims to supports all areas related to the SRI Mission to help ensure the longevity and financial security of the SRI.
The overarching areas of support include:
- Mentorship and Career Development
- Lectureships and Education
- Travel Awards
- Research Grants
This further includes but is not limited to:
- Core funding allowing SRI to provide travel awards to the Annual meeting and for research purposes for trainees, early career researchers and young investigators, especially from low and middle income countries (LMIC);
- Funds that will enable SRI to provide seed grants to a limited number of young investigators;
- Initiatives such as helping to address inequities in women’s health research and supporting the work of the DEI committee;
- Family Care Grants for Early Career Researchers, who need extra assistance in order to attend the SRI Annual Meeting (started in 2024);
- Promoting and building several of SRI’s major funds, including the Past President’s Initiative which is used to support the President’s Plenary presentations by trainees at the Annual meeting, as well as awards such as the DeCherney and Carole Mendelson Awards;
- Funds that will enable SRI to support and commit to initiatives of the Global Outreach (GO Committee;
- Other SRI Committees as they grow and create ideas to help support the SRI Community.
